The packaging displays Jay’s Transforming Car in a fast-moving NINJAGO action scene. The front of the box shows the blue and gold car racing forward on large black tires, with Jay driving from the cockpit and the vehicle angled as if it is charging into battle. Around the car, the set’s minifigures are arranged in an energetic fight scene: Dragon Kai appears in red dragon form with wings and a sword, Nya is shown as another heroic ninja, while the Earth Monster and the Loyalist Leader stand as the villains ready to confront them. The car itself uses bright blue bodywork, black structural details, pearl gold decoration, white flags, and yellow wheel accents, with a dragon-like front section that hints at the transformation feature. The background is made up of green and yellow tones with rocky and plant-covered scenery, giving the scene a jungle or cave-like look with a dramatic fantasy atmosphere. On the top, there is a dark red stripe with the classic red LEGO logo to the left and the NINJAGO logo in white letters, with the subtitle “DRAGONS RISING” underneath. In the bottom and to the left, the box displays the set’s suggested age group (8+), set number, name, and the number of pieces (387). The bottom right corner shows the minifigure lineup. From left to right, these are Nya, Jay, Dragon Kai, Earth Monster, and Loyalist Leader. The right side of the box has the name of the set in different languages. The back of the box shows the car, this time moving from left to right. It this image, the front of the car is flipped, so we see a blue hood instead of the golden dragon head. There is a small piece of terrain on the back, where Jay is standing. On the left, we have Nya fighting the Earth Monster with her katana. On the bottom right, Dragon Kai is fighting the Loyalist leader on top of a rock surface with lave texture. On the bottom left corner, there is an inset that shows the car’s main play feature: it can be transformed by flipping the front section into dragon mode, revealing a golden dragon head, golden claws, and rotating spinners. The background continues the same green and yellow NINJAGO style. The left side of the box has a large image of Jay with his weapon. The top of the box displays the minifigures of the set battling, with a 1:1 scale image of Jay, along with the LEGO and NINJAGO branding. The bottom side is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits, such as the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices, as well as the usual safety warning that the set contains small parts, and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old.
The build consists of 387 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 8+. Once finished, you will have a small piece of terrain, Jay’s Car and 5 minifigures. The set consists of 4 numbered bags.
