Relive the Sorting Hat™ ceremony at Hogwarts™ Castle from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ with this LEGO® Harry Potter™ building set (76460) for kids. A fun Harry Potter gift toy for boys, girls and any fans ages 7 and up, it features 4 LEGO Harry Potter minifigures: Professor McGonagall™, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger™ and Draco Malfoy™. Place the Sorting Hat on each student and spin the ’sorting wheel’ to discover which Hogwarts house they will join. A dinner table and house points counter add to the play possibilities. This kids’ adventure kit pays tribute to the first-ever LEGO Harry Potter set (4701), released in 2001, and features one in a series of 25th anniversary collectible Patronuses: Professor McGonagall’s Cat Patronus™. This set fits inside Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall (76435), another in the collection of modular building toys (all sold separately), which together create the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene to date.
The packaging gives a magic feeling, as if a scene was taken directly from Hogwarts. The front of the box shows all the builds of the set arranged in a scene. To the left, Prof. McGonagall is standing next to a small table and to the left of the sorting wheel. In the middle, Harry Potter is trying on the Sorting Hat, with Hermione to his right. On the right side, there is a small dinner table with tasty food on top of it, with Draco Malfoy standing behind it. On the back, we can see the house point counter. The background resembles Hogwarts Great Hall, with a big wooden door to the left and 3 tall windows on the right, letting some light come in. On the top left corner, we have the classic red LEGO logo, as well as the Harry Potter logo to its right. On the bottom, there is a golden stripe featuring all the characters contained in the set. These are, from left to right: Cat Patronus, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, and Prof. McGonagall. On the bottom right corner, the “25 YEARS OF MAGIC” logo is featured, commemorating the anniversary of LEGO Harry Potter. In the middle and to the left, the box displays the set’s suggested age group (7+), set number (76460), name, and number of pieces (124), all in white letters. The left side of the box has a warning that states that the set contains small parts, and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old in other languages. The back of the box shows the builds of the set arranged differently. On the left, we have the sorting wheel, with Hermione and Harry to its sides. In the middle, we can see the dinner table, with Prof. McGonagall and Draco in front of it. On the right, we have the house point counter, with a small table in front of it, with the Sorting Hat on top of it. All of this is on top of a dark purple background decorated with golden contours of some of Hogwarts houses. On the top left corner, we have the logos of LEGO and Harry Potter. On the right corner, we have 2 insets. In the first one, Harry is holding his wand and a turkey leg while talking to Hermione, who is holding her wand and a goblet. On the right one, Prof. McGonagall is conjuring her patronus with her wand. The right side of the box has the set’s name in different languages. The top of the box has the LEGO and Harry Potter logos, as well as the phrase “25 YEARS OF MAGIC” in different languages. It also shows an image of Prof. McGonagall and her cat patronus. To the right, there is an inset with a picture of the Sorting Hat on a 1:1 scale. The bottom side of the box is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits, such as the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices. The build consists of 124 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 7+.
