Remove the DADA room in the rocky foundations for easy play and look out for 2 of 14 collectible Hogwarts portraits. This set is part of a collection of modular building toys (all sold separately) that together create the most detailed LEGO brick-built Hogwarts Castle scene to date.
The packaging gives a feeling of excitement. The front of the box shows the façade of Hogwarts Castle’s hospital wing, in tones of tan and medium nougat with a dark bluish gray roof with sand green accents, which rests on top of a light and dark bluish gray rock formation. At the base, we see Harry, Ron, and Hermione putting spells on a spider with roller blades. To their right. Prof. Lupin looks surprised at them. In the castle’s balcony, we see Penelope Clearwater. She is looking at the Gray Lady, who is flying to the left of the castle. On the right corner, we see a dementor lurking around. The background consists of a green meadow and some deep forest on the background under a dark blue sky with a full moon covered by clouds. On the top left corner, we have the classic red LEGO logo, as well as the Harry Potter logo to its right. On the bottom right, there is a golden stripe featuring all the characters contained in the set. These are, from left to right: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin, Penelope Clearwater, The Gray Lady, and a Dementor. In the middle and to the left, the box displays the set’s suggested age group (9+), set number (76463), name, and number of pieces (907), all in white letters. The left side of the box shows a similar view of the castle that is trimmed due to space constraints. The back of the box shows the castle from the back. At the bottom, we see Prof. Lupin’s classroom pulled out of the castle’s dungeon. In front of it, Prof. Lupin is helping Ron put a charm on a large spider, which is slipping while trying to walk on skates. On the first floor, we can see the hospital wing, where Hermione and Harry are getting ready for their adventure. In the attic, we can see Ravenclaw’s common room, where Penelope is having a cup of tea and The Gray Lady is flying around. On the right, we have 4 insets. The first one, shows how the current set can be combined with set 76454 (Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower). The second one shows Prof. Lupin conjuring his patronus, which takes form a wolf in a satin trans-light blue color. The third one shows Prof. Lupin helping Harry in dealing with a dementor, which is coming out from the classroom’s cabinet. The last one shows how Prof. Lupin’s classroom can be slid in and out of the castle’s build. All of this is on top of a dark purple background. On the top left corner, we have the logos of LEGO and Harry Potter. On the bottom left corner, there is an inset that says “Collectible portraits: 2 random tiles included”, promoting the portraits of random wizards and witches that can be found in different sets, which come in the shape of a 5-sided tile. The right side of the box has a warning in different languages that states that the set contains small parts, and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old. The top of the box has the LEGO and Harry Potter logos, as well as pictures of Ron, The Gray Lady, Penelope, Hermione, Harry, and Prof. Lupin with his patronus. Additionally, there is an inset with a picture of Prof. Lupin’s minifigure on a 1:1 scale. The bottom side of the box is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits, such as the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices.
The build consists of 907 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 9+. Once finished, you will have Hogwarts’s Hospital Wing, Prof. Lupin’s classroom, a large spider, and 7 minifigures. The set consists of 8 numbered bags.
