Delight young plant lovers with the LEGO® Botanicals Flowering Cactus (11509) building set for kids ages 9 and up. Packed with details, it lets girls and boys have fun creating cool cactus decor. Kids will feel their creativity flourish as they build 2 cacti models. The larger LEGO cactus is in full bloom and features a pink flower with a yellow center on top, while the smaller LEGO cactus features pink buds in various stages of growth. The cacti are an authentic shade of green and are both displayed in a pastel blue plant pot, making it easy for kids to show them off as bedroom or home decor once they’ve finished building. A great gift for girls and boys on birthdays and other special occasions, as well as a gift for nature lovers of all ages, this LEGO Botanicals building set is available in the LEGO Builder app, where kids can zoom and rotate their builds and track their progress.
The packaging has a very warm esthetic. The front of the box depicts the set, consisting of a light blue pot with reddish brown soil, one tall cactus on the back, and one short cactus on the front. It is on top of a dark pink background with a light aura coming from its center. To the left of the tall cactus, we have the name of the set in a font that tries to resemble cute handwriting. The word “FLOWERING” is in yellow. The word “CACTUS” is below it and is in lilac. To the right of the set’s name there is a small light blue pot with a caricaturized cactus with eyes and a smile in it. The bottom left corner is decorated with the iconic red LEGO logo. The bottom has a pink background stripe composed of greebling made of LEGO pieces. On its left, it has the “BOTANICALS” series name, while on its right it has the set’s suggested group (9+), set number (11509) and number of pieces (482). The right side of the box has the LEGO logo, as well as a warning that states that the set contains small parts, and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old in other languages. It also has the name of the set in the handwritten font in different languages. The back of the box depicts three insets. Firstly, the left half shows a picture of the set on a shelf. There are some boxes blurred in the background, while to the right there is one real cactus. The top right half shows a picture of the model with its dimensions annotated: 11 cm (4 inches) wide and 16 cm (6.5 inches) tall. The bottom right half shows a picture of a real cactus on which this set was inspired. The top left corner has the iconic red LEGO logo. The left of the box depicts a similar picture of set, except that due to the space, it only fits about half of it. The top of the box shows the LEGO logo again, as well as a top view of the set and an inset with a dark pink flower piece in a 1:1 scale. The bottom side is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits: the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices.
The build consists of 482 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 9+.
