The buildable LEGO ǀ Marvel Fantastic Four toy includes 4 minifigures: Mr. Fantastic, featuring extendable legs; Human Torch, with 2 hand blasters and flame elements attached to his feet, plus a transparent support that enables him to ‘fly’; Invisible Woman holding 2 force shields; and The Thing with his large, powerful hands. A fully jointed construction figure of the film’s iconic villain, Galactus, stands over 28 cm (11 in.) tall. This posable construction figure prompts endless action as he battles the Super Heroes.
The packaging brings to life the fight between Galactus and the Fantastic Four. The front of the box shows Galactus prominently in the middle. He is standing with his left leg in back and his right leg forward, fighting the heroes. He is holding Sue Storm in his left hand, while with his right hand he is trying to swat Johnny Storm, who is flying around him with his flame powers. At ground level, Ben Grimm is punching Galactus on his left knee, while Reed Richards is standing next to Galactus’s right leg, using his stretch powers to grow taller with his legs and trying to help Johnny. The background shows a blurred image of New York City’s skyscrapers surrounding the fight. The top left corner is decorated with the classic LEGO and Marvel logos. On the top right corner, we have the Fantastic Four First Steps logo in white and blue. Underneath it, we can see the life-action version of the Fantastic Four on a white and yellow background. At the bottom right corner, we have the minifigures in the set. These are, from left to right, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and ben Grimm. The left side of the box repeats the LEGO and Marvel logos on top of black and white depictions of several Marvel superheroes in their minifigure form. The back of the box shows a very similar image to the front, except that in this case Galactus is standing equally on both feet, while he holds Reed Richards in his left hand, Sue Storm in is right hand, Johhny Storm is flying above Galactus’s left shoulder, and Ben Grimm’s is standing on top of Galactus’s right foot. The right side of the box has the LEGO logo, as well as a warning that states that the set contains small parts and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old in other languages. Similarly, the top of the box has the title of the set, as well as once again the LEGO and Mavel logos. It also has an image of Reed Richards’s minifigure on a 1:1 scale. The bottom of the box is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits: the LEGO and Marvel logos, the set number, the recycling instructions for the paper/cardboard elements of the set copyright, and trademark notices.
The build consists of 427 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 8+.
