See What Our Builders Have Built!

  • Saturn 5 rocket Lego

“I love building LEGO sets.  As an adult, this is the first time ever that I have independently been able to complete LEGO sets as a blind builder.  I love building to relax as well as the satisfaction I get – particularly when I have finished a large / complex build.”

  • Jolene N. with Disney castle

“I love building castles. This one was a challenge because of all of the little pieces, but i did it! I am very glad these instructions were available in an accessible format because a finished piece means more to me when I have done it by myself.

“It has been amazing to be able to independently build LEGO sets. I have wanted to do this since I was a kid, and now I actually can – thank you! I especially enjoy feeling real-world objects come together piece by piece, and exploring the intricate details I couldn’t otherwise experience.”

  • NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander

“I love building sets with your instructions. It is such a thrill to build something independently. I would like people with visual problems to know that they can have fun and be filled with satisfaction by building something with their own hands, even without seeing.”

  • Arctic Explorer Ship

As a blind child, I never thought I’d be able to build a LEGO set. Thanks to Bricks for the Blind, I can enjoy building LEGO sets as an adult, which has been rewarding in so many ways! I have become more confident in spatial concepts, learned about car engines, experienced scenes from some of my favorite movies, and felt a huge sense of accomplishment and independence. I also build with my sighted child, which gives us an activity that we can enjoy together, without my blindness being a barrier.
