A wonderful gift for rock collectors and nature lovers, this collectible set features brick-built models of 6 minerals and buildable display shelf units to create eye-catching living room decor. Use clever building techniques and transparent LEGO bricks to create models of golden pyrite, purple amethyst, blue fluorite, watermelon tourmaline, reddish-pink rhodochrosite and tangerine quartz. Assemble the 3 freestanding shelving units and attach your creations to the shelves. Arrange the units as you wish and swap the minerals to different shelves to change up your display.
The packaging has the esthetic design of all the recent 18+ sets. The front of the box depicts the 3 shelves: the left one contains the pyrite on top and the watermelon tourmaline on the bottom, the middle one has the amethyst on top and the rhodochrosite on the bottom, the right one contains the fluorite on top and the tangerine quartz on the bottom. They are on top of a black background with a slightly golden light coming from its center. The top left corner is decorated with the name of the set (“Mineral Collection”), as well as the LEGO Ideas logo, with the set’s LEGO Ideas number (#070). The bottom left corner has the iconic red LEGO logo. The right corner has the set’s suggested age group (18+), set number (21362), and number of pieces (880). The bottom has a dark brown background composed of greebling made of LEGO pieces. The left of the box depicts a shelf with the amethyst on top and the tangerine quartz on the bottom. The back of the box shows again the mineral on the shelves, but this time in a different configuration: the left shelf contains the rhodochrosite on top and the tangerine quartz on the bottom, the middle one has the watermelon tourmaline on top and the fluorite on the bottom, and the right one has the pyrite on top and the amethyst on the bottom. Moreover, this picture shows the shelves separated from each other. On the right, the steps of the LEGO Ideas process are shown, from top to bottom: “Share your idea”, “Gather support”, “LEGO review”, and “New LEGO product”. The top left corner has the iconic red LEGO logo. On the bottom left corner, we see a black and white outline of the final build, showing its dimensions (28 cm/11 inches wide and 18 cm/7 inches tall). At the bottom center and bottom right, we see real-life pictures of the set in different configurations, emphasizing its customizability. The right side of the box shows the LEGO Ideas’ steps like in the front side, but translated into many different languages. The top of the box shows 3 minerals, from left to right: pyrite, fluorite, and rhodochrosite. On the right side we see the set’s name in different languages and one piece of the pyrite in a 1:1 scale. The bottom side is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits: the set number, the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices.
The build consists of 880 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 18+. Once finished, you will have a nice display piece with 6 colorful minerals in many different shapes. The set consists of 7 bags.
