Designed with budding builders in mind, it includes colorful pictorial instructions, large Starter Bricks and separate bags containing 1 buildable model per bag to make construction fast and fun.
The packaging transmits all the aquatic fun contained in the set. The front of the box shows a large illustration of the combat between the characters in their submarines. At the center, we see a small treasure island with a chest. To the left, Spider-man is behind the wheel of his crab submarine, about to reach the treasure, with Ghost-spider and her turtle submarine to the right of the chest. At the back, we see Doc Ock in her whale submarine firing projectiles to our heroes. The background is composed of an aquatic ambiance, with some sand and rocks on the bottom center and left, with some aquatic plants on the bottom left corner. The rest shows some dark blue, light blue, and white tones, representing the water. On the top left corner, we have the classic LEGO and Marvel logos. On the right side, we have our heroes (Spidey, Ghost-spider, and Spin) as depicted in the Spidey and this Amazing Friends show. On the bottom left corner, we have a large red circle with the age indication (4+) in a large, white font. On the bottom right corner, we have small vignettes of the characters contained in the set, which are (from left to right) Spidey, Ghost-spider, and Doc Ock. On the right side of the box, we have the name of the set in different languages, as well as a warning that none of the set’s models float. The back of the box shows a more clean, static image of what is in the set. On the left side, we can see the set’s minifigures with all their accessories. In the middle, we can see, from top to bottom, Spidey’s crab submarine, Ghost-spider’s turtle submarine, and Doc Ock’s whale submarine. On the right, we have a vignette of our characters getting out of their submarines. Beneath it, we have the text “LEARN TO BUILD”, showing the connection of Doc Ock’s whale submarine’s hull, emphasizing that this is a set for younger builders. On the top left corner, we have the logos of LEGO and Marvel. On the bottom left corner, we have Spidey’s logo as well. The left of the box has the classic LEGO and Marvel logos on top of a white background with silhouettes of superheroes in their LEGO style. The top of the box has the LEGO and Marvel logos, as well as an image of Spidey’s minifigure on a 1:1 scale. The bottom side is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits, such as the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices.
The build consists of 154 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 4+. Once finished, you will have 3 water vehicles, one small treasure island, and 3 minifigures. The set consists of 3 numbered bags.
