Boys and girls ages 4 and up can learn to build and play out battle scenes from season 4 of the NINJAGO® Dragons Rising TV show with this fun mech toy. The LEGO® NINJAGO Jay’s Dragon Mech Fight (71853) adventure toy comes packed with 2 mechs and 2minifigures. Jay’s dragon mech has an opening cockpit for his minifigure and posable tail, wings, arms, legs, body and fingers, while the Mutation Monster’s battle mech has an opening cockpit for his minifigure and posable tentacles, arms, legs and tor so. The set also comes with 4 interchangeable weapons for enhanced play value: 2 swords, a spear and a set of claws. This ninja toy has been designed to provide a fun experience for children aged 4 and up who are discovering the joy of building with LEGO bricks.

The packaging displays Jay’s Dragon Mech in full action. The front of the box shows the mech being piloted by Jay, about to strike the Mutant Monster in his mech with his pearl gold katana. The ground is slightly yellow with some brown lines running through it, suggesting battle marks. The background is composed of a yellow light surrounded by a lime and dark green aura, suggesting the entrance of a cave. On the top, there is a dark red stripe with the classic red LEGO logo to the left and the NINJAGO in white letters centered, with the subtitle “DRAGONS RISING” underneath. In the middle and to the left, the box displays the set’s suggested age group (4+), set number (71853), name, and number of pieces (107), all in white letters. On the bottom left corner, there is a medium red circle with a white “4+” in it, indicating once again the suggested age group. The bottom right corner shows the included minifigures: Jay and Mutation Monster. The right side of the box has a warning in different languages that states that the set contains small parts, and it is therefore not recommended for children younger than 3 years old. The back of the box has several insets. On the top left, we see the minifigures contained in the set (Jay and Mutation Monster), as well as the included weapons (a pair of claws, a katana, a spear, and a blade). The top right inset shows Jay jumping out of his mech to attack Mutation Monster’s Mech, which is losing its balance and about to topple back. The bottom half inset shows the mechs only, accompanied by a white banner with the text “LEARN TO BUILD” in black letters, emphasizing that this is a set suitable for younger builders. The left side of the box has a picture of Jay. The top of the box shows an image of Jay on a 1:1 scale. The bottom side is a tidy strip that contains the barcode as well as a few technical bits, such as the place of manufacture, copyright and trademark notices.

The build consists of 107 pieces in total and is recommended for ages 4+. Once finished, you will have Jay’s Dragon Mech, Mutation Monster’s Mech, and 2 minifigures. The set consists of 2 numbered bags.
